OneTouch^® USB Cable

A OneTouch^® USB Cable is required to transfer your meter* test results to your personal computer. You will then be able to view test result data using OneTouch^® Diabetes Management Software or any LifeScan meter-compatible software.

Operating Systems

The serial cable will work with any supported Windows^® Operating system. The USB cable will work with Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista™ and Windows 7 (following installation of Meter Driver v1.10 or OTDMS v2.3.3).

The USB cable can only be used with the new OneTouch^® Diabetes Management Software.

To connect your meter to your PC, you will need:

A LifeScan/OneTouch^® Meter with data port*
The OneTouch^® USB Cable (9-pin serial or USB cable), or a standard USB Type A Male to Type Mini B 5-Pin cable if you are using the OneTouch^® Verio^®IQ or a micro USB if you are using the OneTouch^® Verio^® meter.
A personal computer with an available 9-pin COM or USB port.
OneTouch^® Diabetes Management Software or compatible communications software

*If you are using a 9-pin cable, make sure the serial (COM) port selection on the Preferences screen matches the serial port to which the OneTouch^® cable is being connected, or that the serial port Auto search option is selected.
